💡 The Hyperaccelerated Dragon is a Sicilian setup in which Black plays ...g6 on move two to put the bishop on g7. It belongs to the Dragon family, which got its name because Black's pawn formation was said to resemble the constellation Draco. "Hyperaccelerated" means Black pushes ...g6 much earlier than in the regular Dragon. If White recaptures with 4.Nxd4, the game often merges into well-known lines.
