💡 The Nimzo-Larsen Attack is an opening in which White pushes the b-pawn to b3 on move one and places the bishop on b2. It's named after Nimzowitsch, who championed hypermodern ideas, and the Danish grandmaster Bent Larsen, who made it his specialty in the 1960s and '70s. It's also called Larsen's Opening or the Queen's Fianchetto Opening. It leads to positions your opponent may not know well, and top players such as Nakamura still use it from time to time.
